Meet the Meadow Birds Painted by Biologist and nature painter Elwin van der Kolk who has been fascinated by the nature around him from a young age. Much of his childhood was spent bird watching and drawing birds.
Now he still does exactly the same, although his colored pencils were exchanged for acrylic paint and brushes. Meanwhile, he can call himself ééone of the best-known bird artists in the Netherlands and makes illustrations for numerous publications by o.a. Vogelbescherming, SOVON and KNNV publishers.
Elwin has been a signature member of the Society of Animal Artists since 2016.
He also exhibited for several years at the prestigious American exhibition Birds in Art.
